Bella's Turn to Post

This is my first time for writing and I'm very nervous...but I'll do my best.

The other day Mitzi and I had to go back to the vet to get our booster shots. I was scared but didn't make a fuss when mum put me in the carry cage. But Mitzi...oooh, she fought and yowled and made mum bleed...she was so scared. She doesn't like the carry cage at all. Anyway when mum took us out to the car, it was thundering...and then the dogs came to see what was going on. Mitzi's not scared of the dogs but I am. Mitzi says they wouldn't hurt us...but they're so big! Anyway, mum got us buckled in and off we went to the vet. It's only just up the road a little way, but when we got there, it was pouring with rain and we all got soaked. I hate water, but Mitzi doesn't mind it too much. Mum was drenched carrying us into the vet's, even though she parked close to the door and had an umbrella.

The vet lady gave us a check up...listened to our hearts, checked our operation sites and then gave us a needle. That stung a little bit, but the vet lady was very gentle. I thought Mitzi was going to carry on, but she was so scared she just curled up in a ball at the back of the cage and they had to tip her out onto the table.

Anyway, it was soon over and by the time we left it had almost stopped raining and thundering. Mum took us back home and opened the cages for us to get out. Mitzi jumped out and ran and hid under the bed. She didn't want to come out for a little while, but I went and told her it was okay, no one was going to hurt her.

What I didn't tell her was that I heard mum ask the vet lady for the name of a good cattery for when she goes on holiday in a few months. I guess that won't be so bad. Mum will get us a twin share room and it'll be like a holiday for us. There'll be other cats to talk to, too. But...I'm not saying anything to Mitzi just yet.

I suppose she scared because she is so young and she also had a bad experience when she was a baby. I think mum will rely on me to keep her calm and tell her it's not going to be so bad.

Well, that's what happened to us last week. Now, I'm going to have a snack of cat biscuits then curl up and go to sleep. Mum took some photos of us, so here are some for you to look at.

Me asleep on mum's stuff. I hope the phone doesn't wake me up.

Mitzi out to it and below, both of us on mum's favourite chair.
