Hiding Places

Bella likes to get into boxes, bags and any other container that's lying around, invitingly open for her to climb into. She can open the pantry door and likes jumping onto the bottom shelf where I keep my slow cooker, roaster and the boxes and cans of cat food. I've often shut her in the wardrobe because she's dived in there when I've opened the door and I haven't realised and shut her in. She's even tried to get into handbags...so if you come to my place, keep your handbag shut or you're likely to have a cat pop out in a most unlikely place.

Mitzi, on the other hand, doesn't like those places at all...she prefers to hide under the bed clothes...especially when people come to visit. She's used to Jane, Fred and Ken and will smooge around their feet. She has a fetish about Jane's shoes and plays with them. But if there are too many people, that's it...she's gone and there's a peculiar lump under my doona.

Bella is a very sociable puss and fortunately, since she's been with us, Mitzi is a little better, too. But Bella will come out to mingle and being the tart she is, will go to anybody, while Mitzi disappears particularly if there are a lot of people.

However, both of them vanished when I had the carpets and lounge cleaned...they did not like that at all...especially when he started his machine up. Bella doesn't mind the vacuum cleaner but this was a little too strange for her and she decided discretion was the better part of valour and hid in the pantry.

I just caught Mitzi coming out from under the bedclothes.
Bella and her box fetish, while Mitzi reads the instructions.

Cute!! two cats do have a lot of fun together for sure, but i am not sure if i ever want another one while Annie is still here!! Annie is a sweetheart but just cannot stand when one or both of our grands are here. They love cats but she just will not be social with them. She hisses at them. i think she had a problem as a kitten with kids. Cats are great though..Sandy

Bella, we are both very social kitties - we like meeting new people! :) Boxes are so much fun to play with. :) Mitzi, we also like to burrow under the bedclothes, but only when we're napping - we like it when we have visitors!
