My First Post

As you most probably know, my name is Mitzi and I came to live with Puss-in-Boots just before Christmas. It was pretty scary really, because my brothers and sisters and me were taken away from our mama, put into a big cardboard box and taken somewhere and left on a very hot morning. We didn't know what was going to happen to us but fortunately, the people who dumped us did so at a produce store where the people there were very kind. They took us in, fed us, gave us something to drink and somewhere to sleep.

But then my brothers and sisters disappeared one by one. People came in, saw us and one by one, took us away until there was only me and my sister left. Soon it was my turn...I was picked to go away and I cried. The lady who collected me gave me a cuddle and spoke quietly to me, but I was still scared. Then I was in something that made a loud noise and moved. I was too scared to move but I cried and cried. Then the moving stopped and the lady who cuddled me, picked me up and gave me to another lady, who also cuddled and stroked me.

She took me into a strange place with strange smells and sat down with me on her lap. She stroked and soothed me and murmured softly to me. Soon I was feeling a bit better and jumped off her lap to have a look around. It was a big place and very scary but with plenty of places to hide. So I hid under her computer desk. She left me there until the other lady went away, then got me out to see if I wanted anything to eat and drink, but I was still too upset and frightened.

She showed me where my toilet was and then left me to look around. She kept an eye on me, though and when I found a lovely dark hidey place she left me there.

Night came and I was very hungry and thirsty, and busting to go to the toilet, so I crept out of my safe place, went to the toilet and then, using my sense of smell, found some food and drink and got stuck into that. Having a full belly made me feel better and I had a good look around. The lady was nowhere to be seen but I knew she was around somewhere. I didn't think she'd hurt me but I was being very cautious.

I had a look around the kitchen and lounge room, the laundry and bathroom and then the bedroom where the lady was. She was asleep so I quietly crept back to my safe place and with a lovely full tummy, I feel asleep too.

What a terrible day for you little Mitzi so many new impressions and all this in one day ! But I am sure that now you left your hiding place and share the lady's bed ! Rosie from the very beginning discovered this nice and cosy place right away although I had to put two different sized chairs so that she could climb on my bed, she was soooo tiny with her 6 weeks !
You are really a very pretty and cute girl !

Hi, Mitzi. Sounds like you had kind of a rough start in life. We hope you're cuddling with your Meowmie and sleeping on her bed by now.

Welcome to the Cat Blogosphere.
